*Habiendo todos los problemas que hay con el medio ambiente como el calentamiento global, ¿es difícil ser la concejala de medio ambiente?
Bueno, es difícil si lo miras así, pero, como tú sabes unos de los principios de medio ambiente es <<actúa localmente, y, piensa globalmente>> entonces nosotros no tenemos competencias para preocuparnos de la capa de ozono, nuestra competencia es local afortunadamente, entonces yo lo que me preocupo es de nuestro municipio: que tenga calidad ambiental, que tenga calidad acústica, parques, juegos infantiles, zonas verdes, que tenga mucho arbolado, que el CO2 disminuya, que ahora estamos en un programa europeo de cambio climático y entonces todos contribuimos a la bajada de CO2 haciendo actuaciones, que haya más carriles-bici, que la gente ande y que no utilice tanto vehículos,… Desde luego es difícil pero es un tema muy bonito y que a mí me gusta, pues para mí no me resulta un trabajo muy difícil, o, más que difícil que me gusta hacerlo y disfruto con ello.
*¿Piensas que haces un buen trabajo en Espartinas, o, crees que deberías de esforzarte en algún aspecto más?
Yo creo que nadie puede decir que haga su trabajo perfecto porque siempre tenemos cosas que te gustaría hacer mejor y de hecho eso es parte del trabajo, ver lo que estás haciendo y poder mejorar tu trabajo. Pero, yo creo que, en general todo es relativo, somos un municipio que tenemos bastantes puntos positivos o puntos con respecto al municipios comparables con nosotros; de los mismos habitantes, de las mismas características… Dentro del Aljarafe somos el único municipio de la provincia de Sevilla que tenemos cinco banderas verdes, por la limpieza de las calles, porque tenemos muchísimas zonas verdes muy distribuidas por el municipio, y, otro de nuestros valores es que hacemos mucha concienciación medio ambiental con una feria nacional que tenemos jardinería, dónde lo que hacemos es concienciar un poco a la población a nivel nacional, autonómico y sobre todo local para dar información sobre lo más nuevo que hay en éste sentido.
*Espartinas ha conseguido cinco banderas verdes, ¿crees que recompensan el tiempo que le dedicáis al medio ambiente del pueblo?
Yo creo que todos los premios que te dan recompensan aunque lo que a nosotros más nos recompensa más que los premios que te den es ver que cuando yo por ejemplo, salgo por la tarde o voy a dar un paseo, los parques están llenos de niños jugando, las madres y la gente se sientan en el césped, los jóvenes juegan en el parque de al lado, los carriles-bici los usa la gente, que la gente pasea por las calles, las calles están limpias,…
*¿Colaboramos los ciudadanos al buen desarrollo de la flora en Espartinas?
El ciudadano de Espartinas contribuye en cuanto al medio ambiente, es decir, a la flora en concreto es difícil que afecte porque la flora es autóctona. Entonces la flora de Espartinas vive en zonas urbanas con una jardinería de otro tipo; y a la flora autóctona no contribuye, pero sí al medio ambiente. Yo pienso que hay un pequeño grupito de vándalos que actúan destrozando, pero la inmensa mayoría de los ciudadanos de Espartinas respetan las zonas verdes…
*¿Es una buena forma de concienciar un poco a los vecinos con la feria de la “Flora Urbana” que se realiza cada año?
Por supuesto porque todos los jóvenes sois los que debéis de tener en cuenta las ideas de mantenimiento de medio ambiente. Entonces, en ésta feria, uno de los temas más importantes que se trata es la concienciación ciudadana, se realizan actividades del ciclo del agua, la contaminación,… Todo lo que hacemos en “Flora Urbana” está encaminado a concienciar a los pequeños y a los mayores para cuidar el medio ambiente.
*¿Crees que la nueva Ley Antitabaco ayuda a contaminar menos el aire?
Me imagino que algo contribuirá porque si la ley hace que la gente deje de fumar, me imagino que contribuirá. Lo que pasa que, si el consumo de trabajo no baja, lo que hace que no se fume en sitios públicos pues ese humo irá a algún sitio. Pero desconozco el tema de la Ley Antitabaco.
*Hay veces que las lluvias de Espartinas son muy fuertes o en verano hay sequía, ¿crees que el pueblo está bien preparado para soportar éstos bruscos cambios de clima?
Antiguamente el pueblo tenía problemas de inundaciones, pero, con obras que se han hecho y han solucionado eso. De hecho, en los últimos años no ha habido ninguna inundación a pesar de las fuertes lluvias que ha habido.
*¿Está contenta de la labor que hacen los basureros, barrenderos, jardineros,… en el pueblo?
Todo como te he dicho antes se puede mejorar pero, yo creo que, no todo depende de dinero, también hace falta fuerza, coordinación,… de muchos técnicos que organizamos que hagan, de forma que con menos dinero se ejecute un mejor trabajo.
*¿Piensas que deben de alargar el trayecto de los carriles-bici para que puedan ser transitados por más bicicletas y se llegue a todos los sitios del municipio?
Claro que sí, de todas formas tenemos trece km de carril, lo que pasa es que como los carriles bici estaban fracturados, nos faltan conexiones entre ellos. Esto es lo que estamos ahora en proyecto de unificar.
*¿Crees que merece la pena invertir el dinero en hacer parques y lugares de bienestar social?
Pienso que sí porque ten en cuenta que la calidad de vida es uno de los factores por los cuales la Organización Mundial de la Salud establece que hay en una ciudad más calidad de vida, el número de metros cuadrados por habitantes; es decir que la salud de los seres humanos está asociada con la vida socialmente.
*¿Crees que es imposible concienciar al mundo entero sobre el calentamiento global?
No, nada es imposible. De hecho los políticos, los técnicos, las cumbres medio ambientales,… están tomando medidas; y yo creo que se va mejorando poco a poco.
*Al Gore fue un político estadounidense que se llevó varios premios por exponer sus ideas y pensamientos sobre el calentamiento global, ¿te gustaría hacer la misma labor?
Yo me conformo con trabajar en mi pueblo, en el medio ambiente, y yo creo que hay que trabajar localmente y pensar globalmente. Cada uno tenemos que aportar nuestro granito de arena.
* ¿Crees que, a nivel de Andalucía, grandes ciudades como Sevilla, están bien cuidadas?
Sevilla, yo sinceramente pienso que tiene zonas muy bien cuidadas, por ejemplo el casco antiguo, pero es muy grande y hay zonas que están muy descuidadas, por ejemplo los barrios periféricos.
*Hemos visto en la televisión que se ha hecho un estudio recientemente que demuestra que en las palmeras de nuestra región hay una plaga de insectos, ¿cómo se está tratando el tema? ¿Son efectivos los tratamientos?
Bueno esa plaga es el “picudo rojo”, es un insecto que está en Andalucía desde el año 1995 y afecta a toda la costa Mediterránea. Este insecto se cuela por arriba de la palmera y se come toda la pulpa. Aquí, cuando vimos que en el año 2007 la plaga nos estaba afectando, actuamos con rapidez utilizando un sistema que está resultando muy efectivo, porque se come a todos los parásitos que reproducen los insectos.
*¿Piensa poner alguna vez en las instalaciones públicas del municipio, sistemas en los que se haga uso de las energías renovables con aprovechamiento de ellas?
Claro que sí, tenemos en proyecto realizarlo pero tarda tanto porque es muy costoso, pero pensamos que alguna vez vamos a usarlas para poder aprovecharlas.
*¿Cree que el I.E.S. Lauretum está haciendo una buena labor para concienciarnos sobre los problemas medioambientales, a través de este proyecto, a nivel Europeo?
Sí, esta mañana he estado hablando con una profesora vuestra, Inés Corbacho, que me ha estado explicando lo que estáis haciendo y el trabajo que habéis hecho anteriormente en cuanto a la concienciación de los alumnos, el tema del reciclaje, el cambio climático,… y a mí me parece un instituto muy activo.

But, I believe that, in general everything is relative, we are a municipality that we have enough positive points or points with regard to municipality comparable with we; of the same inhabitants, of the same characteristics … Inside The Aljarafe we are the only municipality of the province of Seville that we have five green flags, for the cleanliness of the streets, because we have many green spaces very distributed by the municipality, and, other one of our values is that we make a lot of raising awareness average environmental with a national fair that we have gardening, where what we do it is to arouse a bit the national population, autonomous and especially place to give information about the more new thing that exists in this one felt.
*Espartinas won five green flags, ¿you believe that rewards the time you devote to the environment to the town?
I believe that all the prizes that give you reward though what more us rewards us more than the prizes than you they give it is to see that when I for example, I go out in the evening or I am going to give a walk, the parks are full of children playing, the mothers and the people sit down in the lawn, the young people play in the park of to the side, the rails - bicycles are used by the people, that the people walk along the streets, the streets are clean, …
*Do we contribute the citizens to the good development of the flora in Espartinas?
The citizen of Espartinas contributes as for the environment, that is to say, to the flora specifically it is difficult that it concerns because the flora is autochthonous. Then Espartinas' flora lives in urban zones with a gardening of another type; and to the autochthonous flora he does not contribute, but yes to the environment. I think that there is a small group of Vandal that act destroying, but the immense majority of the citizens of Espartinas respect the green spaces …
* Is it a good way of arousing a bit the neighbors with the fair of the "Flora Urbana" who is realized every year?
Certainly because all the young people you are that you must bear in mind the ideas of maintenance of environment. Then, in this one fair, one of the most important topics that treats itself is the civil raising awareness, there are realized activities of the hydrological cycle, the pollution, … Everything what we do in "Flora Urbana" is directed to arouse the small ones and the major ones to take care of the environment.
*Do you believe that the new Law Anti-smoking helps to contaminate less the air? I imagine that he will contribute something because if the law does that the people stop smoking; I imagine that he will contribute. What happens that, if the consumption of work does not go down, which does that he does not smoke in public sites since this smoke will go to any site. But I do not know the topic of the Law Anti-smoking.
*There are times that Espartinas' rains are very strong or in summer there is drought, do you believe that the people is prepared well to support these sudden changes of climate? Former the people had problems of floods, but, with works that have done and solved it to themselves. In fact, in the last years there has been no flood in spite of the strong rains that have exists.
*Is it satisfied of the labor that gardeners do the dust-bins, sweepers … in the people? I have said to you before it is possible to improve but, I believe that, not everything depends on money, also there does lacking force, coordination … of many technical personnel that we organize that they do, so that with less money a better work is executed.
*You think that they must lengthen the distance of the rails - bicycles in order that they could be passed by more bicycles and come near to all the sites of the municipality? Clear that yes, anyway we have thirteen km from rail, which happens is that as the rails bicycle were fractured, we lack connections between them. This is what we are now in project to unify.
*Do you believe that it is worth investing the money in doing parks and places of social well-being? I think that yes because bear in mind that the quality of life is one of the factors for which the World Health Organization establishes that there is in one more city quality of life, the number of square meters for inhabitants; it is to say that the health of the human beings is associated with the life socially.
*Do you believe that it is impossible to arouse to the entire world on the global warming? Not, anything is impossible. In fact the politicians, the technical personnel, the summits I happen environmental, … they are taking measurements; and I believe that it is getting improved little by little.
*Al Gore he was an American politician who took several prizes to himself for exposing his ideas and thoughts on the global warming, would you like to do the same labor? I agree to work in my people, in the environment, and I believe that it is necessary to work locally and to think globally. Each one we have to contribute our granite of sand.
*Do you believe that, to level of Andalusia, big cities as Seville are elegant well? Seville, I sincerely think that it has very well elegant zones, for example the ancient thief, but it is very big and there are zones that are very careless, for example the peripheral neighborhoods.
*We watched in the television that has done a study to itself recently that demonstrates that in the palms of our region there is a plague of insects, how is topic treating itself? Are treatments effective? Good this plague is "pointed red", it is an insect that is in Andalusia from the year 1995 and concerns the whole Mediterranean coast. This one insect slips past overhead of the palm and one eats the whole flesh. Here, when we saw that in the year 2007 the plague was affecting us, we act with rapidity using a system that is turning out to be very effective, because he eats up to all the parasites that reproduce the insects.

Esta entrevista me ha gustado mucho porque Aurora nos ha demostrado que es una apasionada del medioambiente y disfruta mucho haciendo su trabajo. La idea principal que nos ha mostrado ha sido: <<actúa localmente y piensa globalmente>>, y tiene razón, debemos de actuar todos y cada uno de nosotros individualmente pensando en el mundo entero. Nos ha mencionado la feria nacional de “Flora Urbana”, las 5 banderas verdes que tiene el municipio, el caso del picudo rojo, las zonas verdes de Espartinas, los carriles-bici,… y otros temas que creo que tanto a nosotros, los alumnos del I.E.S Lauretum como a los vecinos del municipio son de mucho interés puesto que a través de éste proyecto, conocemos cada una de las labores y preocupaciones que tienen las personas que trabajan para y por el medioambiente, que habitualmente no sabemos. Personalmente, ha hecho un hueco en la agenda y eso es de agradecer, porque estaba muy atareada. Como concejala de medioambiente, dice que es muy bueno el trabajo que hace el instituto porque nosotros somos el futuro y debemos de cuidar bien, e incluso mejorar el trabajo que han hecho nuestros descendientes.
